For those dreaming of a White Christmas, Mother Nature did not disappoint this year.
Trudged thru drifts in frigid Christmas Eve temps & attended my first candlelight service in 3 years. Never been to Mile Hi Church on Colorado Christian University campus.
GREAT program, GREAT music, inclusive congregation. Reason for the season ✝
During this holiday, reach out & reconnect with family. It’s not always easy.
I sincerely believe we are part of a bigger plan. Focus on this day, tomorrow, the day following tomorrow — leave yesterday in the past. Don’t just give, for-give.
Merry Christmas & God Bless.

O Holy Night (audio only)
The winter solstice, also known as midwinter, is an astronomical phenomenon marking the day with the shortest period of daylight and the longest night of the year.
Also called: Midwinter, Yule, the Longest Night, Jól
Solstice, beginning of my favourite season!
Week of Christmas movies, Dave’s Big Disney Reveal, then SNOW – wouldn’t be winter without the magic of snow ❄️
Last work week of 2017 (crazy busy time) so been fitting in my fave Christmas Classics whenever/wherever I can this year. Southwest flight from Phoenix, Netflix at dinner, in bed on my laptop, family nite at Ash’s – even once on the treadmill: literally watched “White Christmas” on my Thursday morning run. Work/life/Christmas Classics balance. LOL>

LEJOG Challenge – Lands End, England to John O’Groats, Scotland
Conquering the length of Britain: 1,083 miles. Approx HALF the distance of last year’s 2,017-mile Run challenge.
- Lands End to John O’Groats
- 1083 miles, the length of Britain
- GOAL: 15 June 2018
Honestly, just surfing for an online tool to track my miles.
Was not looking for a ‘Run the Year’ replacement. Lotta miles in my 2018 future. first Half of Year GOAL: knocking out 11 states, 2nd time around – and that’s just marathoning.
PRIMARY FOCUS: Bighorn. 52-mile trail run at altitude. Saturday June 16th.
Timing of LEJOG, a perfect fit.
Completion date: 15 June 2018 – ONE day before BIGHORN. Seemed like a sign.
Registration paid, now virtually running from England to Scotland.
Ended Week 1 on a small island in southwest England, St Michaels Mount. Cornish: Karrek Loos yn Koos
St Michael’s Mount is a small tidal island in Mount’s Bay, Cornwall, England. The island is a civil parish and is linked to the town of Marazion by a man-made causeway of granite setts, passable between mid-tide and low water.
Digging the newness of a new challenge.
Expect mid-month updates (January thru June) complete with screenshots of my virtual location 🙂
